A set of waterslide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It offers markings for the German SdKfz 251 Ausf. D armored half-track carriers used on the Eastern Front in 1945. The decals are printed on a thin carrier film with faithful colors and crisp registration.
The SdKfz 251 was the most widespread German half-track of the Second World War; the simplified Ausf. D version was built in large numbers right to the end of the war. The vehicles on the Eastern Front carried tactical numbers, crosses and unit emblems. It is exactly these late schemes that give a model the authentic stamp of the closing fighting.
Coat the surface under the decal with a gloss varnish against silvering. Dip the decal in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place, line it up and blot the water off. On broken-up surfaces use a decal softener, and coat the finished model with a matte varnish.
This is a set of decals, not a model. The kit, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
