Empty cartridges 12.7 x 108 (1:35) is a resin set of empty cartridge cases from Firma49 for the Soviet heavy machine gun, a detailing accessory for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of detailed 3D printed resin parts in 1:35 scale, not a kit of a weapon. The set captures empty, spent cases of 12.7 x 108 mm caliber, that is to say the Soviet heavy round. It serves to finish off firing positions, loads and scenes around heavy machine guns.
The 12.7 x 108 mm round is a Soviet heavy cartridge used above all in the DShK heavy machine gun and its successors. It spread through many armies of the Eastern Bloc and to this day is one of the most widespread heavy rounds in the world. Spent brass cases pile up around firing positions.
Carefully separate the parts from the supporting blocks, clean up the surfaces and wash them in lukewarm water with detergent. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint them in brass shades; polishing and a darker wash bring out the metallic, used look. Scattered cases look best in small heaps.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Glue, paints and a model of the weapon are not included in the package.
