This resin detail set from PANZER ART brings the engine deck of the Ford 3000 truck covered with a protective winter canvas. The insulating canvas was used in the field to keep the heat of the engine in freezing conditions. The set is an accessory for detailing, not a kit of the whole vehicle.
The Ford 3000 was a German truck built for the needs of the Wehrmacht, deployed for transport and supply during the Second World War. In the winter months, above all on the Eastern Front, the crews covered the front end and the engine with canvases to protect the powerplant from frost.
Wash the mold release agent off the casting, cut off the casting block and true the mating surfaces up. Bond the resin with super glue. The texture of the canvas comes out once it is painted with a base coat, lightened with a dry brush and the folds picked out with a wash.
