A French kepi in 1:35 scale is a resin accessory for figures. It is not a model and not a whole figure but a separate piece of headgear for fitting.

A resin casting of a French kepi in 1:35 scale. It is an accessory for figures, not a kit: the kepi is fitted onto a figure's head in place of the original part and turns a soldier in the field into a figure in service or walking-out dress. Resin holds the sharp edge of the peak and a flat crown, which on such a small part is exactly what decides its credibility.
The kepi is a low cap with a stiff, horizontally set crown and a short peak, associated above all with the French army. It went through a number of modifications in shape and height, and in the twentieth century it gradually turned from field headgear into part of service and walking-out uniform, in which it is used to this day. On a figure it comes across quite differently than a helmet and unmistakably determines what kind of situation a scene is, whether it is a command post, a rear area or a parade.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with a detergent and let it dry through. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a cutter, level the contact surface with a file and sand it over, best wet and with protection for your airways. Cut the original headgear on the figure off and level the crown of the head, glue the new kepi on with super glue and even the seam out with filler. It is painted over a thin base coat; with a kepi it pays off to separate the color of the crown, the band and the peak and to accentuate the transitions only discreetly, because the area is small.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The figure, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
