The Bravo 6 figure set in 1:35 scale holds a pair of castings of a German tank crew in winter pattern. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an accessory to a model or a subject on its own for a diorama. The figures are cast in modeling resin, are supplied unassembled and unpainted and are carried as an aftermarket accessory, that is without any vehicle or base.
The figures represent members of a German tank crew of the Second World War dressed in winter kit. From a modeling point of view they are interesting precisely for the layering of the clothing: a long coat or a sheepskin coat over working overalls, a cap or a helmet, gloves and scarves. The pose is worked out so that the figures look natural beside the hull or on it, which is typical of tank scenes. Bravo 6 is among the brands that put the emphasis on anatomy, on the drapery of the cloth and on legible faces, so the castings will take a close look in a display case as well.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the remains of the release agent from the mold are removed, or the primer will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc and never break them away. Do not breathe in the sanding dust from resin; work wet and with a respirator. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue, if need be with an activator; classic cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Fill the small seams at the shoulders and under the head with modeling putty. Apply a thin primer with a spray or an airbrush before painting. Paint the uniform with acrylics, and the face can be layered with acrylics as well as with oil paints and glazes; a dry brush and fine dust pigments on the lower hems will bring the winter clothing to life.
The set is supplied as unassembled and unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
