An add-on set, 1:35 German antenna bases, set 2 from Yamamoto Model Parts: five pieces of small parts for faithfully fitting out models of armored equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a model of a vehicle but an accessory for a build. The base of a whip antenna is a small part on the hull or the turret of an armored vehicle which holds the antenna of the radio set and damps the shocks of driving. In kits it tends to be simplified, because the complicated shape is difficult to mold. A replacement part therefore raises the level of a finished model visibly without costing much work. This item is the second set of the line and holds five pieces.
German armored equipment of the Second World War had radio sets with whip antennas mounted in a sprung base on the rear or on the side of the vehicle. The detail lies on an upper surface and is well seen on a model, mainly when looked at from above in a display case. A faithful base at the same time gives a firm foundation to the antenna, which you can draw out of thin wire or stretched sprue to its real length.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel and sand the trace of the gate down. If they are of resin, wash them in lukewarm soapy water before painting and glue them with super glue. Cut the original simplified detail from the kit off and level the surface, so that the part seats. Paint them together with the vehicle for a uniform shade; the rubber parts look good in a dark matte form and take a careful dry brush. Finally unify them with the surrounding weathering using dust or pigments.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model of a vehicle. It is supplied unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package.
