A plastic kit of the German light reconnaissance armored car Leichter Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz.222 in the middle production version (Mid) in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the characteristic open turret ring with the 2 cm cannon. Take the exact contents of the box and the extent of the decals from the enclosed instructions.
The Sd.Kfz.222 was a four-wheel light armored car of the German army used above all for reconnaissance. It was armed with a 2 cm automatic cannon and a machine gun in an open turret protected against grenades by a wire mesh cover. Thanks to all-wheel drive and decent speed it suited the quick scouting of terrain and of the enemy.
Give the wheels and the underside of the hull attention before you close the hull. The open turret calls for a clean interior and careful painting of the cannon. For the patina, a dark wash into the detail, a drybrush on the edges and dust pigments on the fenders and the lower areas all work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
