A decal sheet (waterslide decals) in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. It contains a set of German military markings of the Second World War: national insignia, unit and tactical emblems and other markings used by the Afrika-Korps and by Waffen-SS units. It is neither a model nor a kit; it is an accessory with which you complete the markings on your own vehicle models or figures. The sheet can often be used in a smaller scale for figures as well.
The German Afrika-Korps fought in North Africa from 1941 to 1943, while Waffen-SS units served on a number of fronts in Europe. Their vehicles and equipment carried typical insignia, tactical symbols and emblems that make a rewarding subject for dioramas and historically accurate models.
The decals are released in lukewarm water and settled onto the model. Even out the surface under the decal with a gloss clear coat, a decal softener will help it sink into the detail, and finally seal everything with a matte varnish. The placement of the markings is given in the enclosed instructions.
This is a decal sheet, not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
