An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Tamiya. The package holds two figures of German mechanics servicing a tank, together with a generous set of accessories including a tank engine, a drum, a ladder, a toolbox and further equipment. The set is ideal for bringing a maintenance scene to life beside a tank model.
Maintaining and repairing equipment in the field was an everyday part of life in the tank units of the Second World War. Engines were changed, fluids topped up and powertrain faults put right. The set captures German mechanics at this work and adds period-accurate tools and workshop equipment, including an engine that suits models of German tanks.
Separate the figures and accessories from the sprue, clean up the mold parting lines and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. A maintenance scene comes alive with weathering, oil stains and wear on the tools and the work clothes. Bring out the engine and the metal parts with a dark wash and fine highlights. Build up the mechanics' work overalls in layers.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
