German tanker of the early war period (1939-40) No. 2 is a resin figure in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART, intended to complete dioramas and the crews of German tanks from the beginning of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single resin figure of a German tanker in 1:35 scale from the PANZER ART range. It is a standalone figure that you can use to bring a diorama to life or to fill the open hatch of a tank from the campaigns in Poland and France. The package contains cast resin parts without paints and glue.
In 1939 and 1940 the crews of German tank units wore the black special uniform of the tank arm. Typical of the early war period is the soft padded black beret (Schutzmütze) worn over a protective helmet, which no longer appears in later years. It is this period detail that sets the figure apart from tankers of a later period and makes it suitable for recreating the first blitzkrieg campaigns.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and fit the joints. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and protect your airways while sanding and cleaning up. Apply a primer before painting. For the black uniform it pays to lighten it with a dark gray so that it does not look flat; build the flesh tone up in layers with glazes and do the final adjustments with oil paints.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
