The inserts Gothic stained glass windows (Typ6) will glaze the pointed windows of a Gothic building in a 1:35 scene and will serve well on a damaged church too.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sixth of the patterns of colored glazing for religious architecture in 1:35 scale. Besides a whole window it also makes possible what is more rewarding for a wartime diorama: partial glazing, where an undamaged pane, a crack and an opening boarded up with planks stand side by side. Such a detail tells the fate of a building more convincingly than a demolished wall.
A church was always a target in street fighting, because its tower saw farther than anything in the surroundings. Hence the familiar shots from Normandy, from Aachen and from Budapest, where only bare walls were left of the sanctuary and the wreckage of tracery hung in the openings. A damaged tableau also allows the inside of the building to be shown, which is an opportunity for a diorama: rubble in the nave, overturned pews and light falling in from above through an opening left by a hit.
If you want a broken window, break the area irregularly, never along a straight line. Darken the edges after the cut-out with soot and indicate thinly a trail of smoke rising up the facade above the opening. Add dust to the remaining panes, so that they go matte, and scatter fine grit at the foot of the wall as shards. If you leave one undamaged band of stained glass, the contrast with the empty openings will come across far more strongly than destruction across the whole area.
