A resin set of wheels in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Hanomag SS100 heavy road tractor. The castings carry the tread pattern of Continental tires, and this is exactly what distinguishes the set from the otherwise identical version with the Fulda tread. It is an accessory for a finished kit, not a kit in itself.
The Hanomag SS100 was a two-axle heavy tractor with a massive hood and a short wheelbase, built to pull heavy loads. It towed artillery trains, low-loader trailers with vehicles and aircraft across airfield aprons. It served with the army and with civilian firms, and its appearance is defined above all by its large wheels and its height, so a change of wheels shows on it more than on many another vehicle.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the surface with a file and protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Check the diameter of the stub axle before fitting. On a heavy tractor it pays to sand the bottom of the tire lightly into a flat spot, because the vehicle stands under load and a perfectly round tire gives it away at once.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
