An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Master Box, out of the range devoted to the Vietnam War. The set holds five figures of American soldiers caught moving toward an evacuation helicopter. The name Huey refers to the American Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter, widely deployed in Vietnam. The figures come on sprues and have to be glued and painted.
The UH-1 Huey helicopter became a symbol of the Vietnam War: it served to carry troops, to resupply and to evacuate the wounded. Rapid boarding and leaving of a battlefield by helicopter was among the characteristic features of the operations of the time. The set matter-of-factly captures the moment when a group of soldiers hurries toward a landing machine. The subjects are American infantrymen in tropical field uniforms.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and clean up the parting lines and gates. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. Paint the tropical uniforms and camouflage with acrylics and bring out the fall of the cloth with a wash and dry-brushing. Build the faces up in thinned layers. A matte varnish at the end unifies the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
