A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of Hungarian PzKpfw IVs and Hetzer tank destroyers. An accessory for a finished model, not a kit.
In the second half of the war the Hungarian army built its armored units predominantly on equipment delivered from Germany. PzKpfw IV medium tanks in the later versions with the long 75 mm gun supplemented the domestic types, which were no longer adequate, and the light Hetzer tank destroyers on the 38(t) chassis reached the armament only at the very close of the fighting. Their deployment fell mainly to the fighting on Hungarian soil in 1944 and 1945. The Hungarian vehicles were set apart from the German ones by a national insignia of their own and a different system of numbers, so even a machine identical in type looks different once it is finished.
Both the PzKpfw IV and the Hetzer have markedly sloping or broken surfaces and on top of that often side plates across which the markings carry over. Leave the narrowest margin of carrier film you can around a design, then, and trim the excess with a fresh blade before soaking it. Once it has dried, go over the area with a cloth moistened in clean water: residues of decal adhesive show up after oversprayed varnish as a glossy patch, which is hard to put right.
The decals are supplied on their own. A model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
