A resin set of three civilian figures in 1:35 scale, set in Pilsen in 1945. The set holds eight resin parts, because some of the figures are made up of several pieces. The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. They are not soldiers but civilians, and that is exactly what most dioramas lack: without them a scene remains nothing but a parade of hardware.
Pilsen was liberated by the American army in May 1945, and the arrival of armored vehicles in the city became one of the strongest images of the end of the war in the Czech lands. Columns passed through the streets and people welcomed them, sat on the tanks and handed out food. For a modeler it is a theme with a local connection: a scene with an American vehicle and Czech civilians is more natural in this part of the world than any foreign battlefield.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that any residue from production disappears from the surface; otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off any remains of casting blocks or supports with a sharp blade and level the surface with a file, protecting your breathing while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Paint civilian clothing in brighter colors than uniforms, but keep to the muted tones of the day; things were washed in soap and worn for a long time.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
