The Eduard 1:35 Junkers Ju-87G-1/2 Stuka masking set holds pre-cut self-adhesive glazing masks for a plastic model of this German dive bomber in its anti-tank version.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the Ju-87G in 1:35 scale. The masks are pre-cut to the shape of the individual panes of glazing, so they are simply peeled off and stuck down. It is an aid for painting, not a model nor a structural part of one.
The Ju-87 has an extensive glazed cockpit for a crew of two, divided by a large number of straight frames. Cutting the matching number of strips from masking tape by hand is slow work and any imprecision shows at once in a large scale. In 1:35 scale the cockpit is also physically large and becomes the dominant feature of the model, so it pays to do the masking cleanly.
Wash and degrease the clear parts. Move the masks with tweezers, seat them into the panes of glazing and press them down with a soft tool all the way around. Spray the paint in several thin coats, so that it does not creep under the edge. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried. Glue the glazed parts with a glue intended for canopies or with white PVA glue.
It is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit. The model itself and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
