A detailed set of the engine compartment for the Sd.Kfz.221 light armored reconnaissance car (Leichter Panzerspahwagen) in 1:35 scale from the LANMO Model brand. It adds a faithfully rendered eight-cylinder Horch V8 engine of 3.5 liters as well as the fittings of the engine compartment, so that the model can be displayed with the hatches open. It is not a stand-alone model but a detail accessory for a kit.
The Sd.Kfz.221 was a German light four-wheeled armored reconnaissance car of the beginning of the Second World War. It was powered by a Horch gasoline engine and served for reconnaissance and liaison tasks. An open view into the engine compartment is one of the features that draw attention on a finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and wear respiratory protection while sanding. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the engine and the units and weather them before closing them into the hull. Check the fit against your particular Sd.Kfz.221 kit before gluing.
This is an add-on resin set, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
