1:72 Phänomen Granit 25H Radiowagen is a kit of a German light utility vehicle in the version of a signals vehicle, supplemented according to the name with resin parts and photo-etched metal.

The kit in 1:72 scale captures the German light utility car Granit 25H in the release of a signals vehicle with a radio set. According to the name, the basic injection-molded plastic is supplemented with resin castings and photo-etched metal, which is the typical make-up of so-called short-run kits. These differ from large-series kits in thicker sprue gates, more softly engraved detail and a lower accuracy of fit, but in exchange they offer subjects that mainstream makers do not make.
The Granit 25H was a light truck and utility car produced by the Phänomen company in Zittau. Its characteristic technical feature was an air-cooled engine with forced air circulation, which freed the vehicle from worries about coolant in a frost. That is precisely why the type spread widely on the Eastern Front. The chassis carried a whole family of bodies - ambulance, personnel and purpose-built box vans. The Radiowagen version carried a box body with a radio set and served as a signals station.
Count on the parts having no locating pins, or only indicated ones: dry-fit every subassembly first and only then glue it. Remove the flash and the remains of the sprues with a scalpel and sand them down. Before gluing, wash the resin parts in warm soapy water to get rid of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Bend the photo-etched metal over a sharp edge or in a photo-etch bender. In 1:72 scale apply the paint really thinly, otherwise the structure of the surface disappears; to emphasize the panels and the rivets use a weak wash and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
