Photo-etched anti-aircraft armament of the US Navy in 1:700 (set II) from Flyhawk refines the light anti-aircraft guns of the model. It is a photo-etched accessory, not a ship model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from Flyhawk serves to detail the light anti-aircraft armament of US Navy warships of the Second World War. It is not a ship kit but a set of fine photo-etched parts with which you replace or complete the coarse plastic guns and their fittings.
Through the course of the war American ships were armed ever more densely with light anti-aircraft guns and their mounts, shields and platforms. In 1:700 scale these elements are tiny and in plastic they are simplified; the photo-etched version gives the guns the fineness of barrels, shields and controls that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.
Bend the small parts in a photo-etch bender, separate them with a sharp knife and glue them with a micro drop of cyanoacrylate. Tweezers and magnification make the work easier. Once everything is assembled, apply primer and paint with an airbrush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
