A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for detailing a model of the American M1025 multi-purpose armored vehicle (a variant of the HMMWV family, commonly nicknamed the Humvee) in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of thin-walled photo-etched parts that replace or complement the coarser plastic elements of a base kit and give it a more realistic look.
Photo-etched parts make it possible to render elements that are hard to mold in plastic at a scale-correct thickness, for example grilles, brackets, loops, reinforcing plates and small exterior and interior details of the body. The result is a more faithful and finer model than the plastic parts alone allow.
The parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, shaped with a bending tool or a ruler and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting it is worth degreasing the surface and applying a primer so that the paint holds well. Work patiently and in smaller sections.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
