1:35 M-113 wheel mask

M-113 wheel mask 1:35 (Eduard, painting masks)

A set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for the plastic kit of the American M-113 armored personnel carrier. The masks are cut into thin kabuki tape and serve for accurate spraying of the road wheels, so that the color of the tires is sharply set apart from the rest of the wheel.

The real subject

The M-113 is an American tracked armored personnel carrier of aluminum alloy, built from the early 1960s onward, which became one of the most widely used armored vehicles in the world. It was used in many armies and in a whole range of modifications, from carrying infantry to specialized variants.

Use

• Clean the flash off the wheels and degrease them.
• Stick the masks exactly onto the tires of the wheels.
• Spray the paint and take the masks off once it has become tacky.
• Choose thin covering coats for a sharp edge.

Who it is for

• Builders of armored vehicles in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers who want sharp painting of the wheels without laborious work by hand.
• Anyone interested in fast, repeatable masking.

The masks are neither a model nor paint. They serve as an accessory for a separately purchased kit; paints and glue are not included in the package.
