A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard meant to refine the plastic kit of the American M-1A1 Abrams main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a detail accessory that replaces coarser plastic features with thin photo-etched parts. The exact scope of the set is described in the enclosed instructions.
The M-1A1 is an American main battle tank, one of the updated versions of the Abrams family. It is marked by a 120 mm smoothbore gun, a gas turbine as its powerplant and heavy composite armor protection. It proved itself above all in the conflicts in the Persian Gulf.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Detail the fine grilles and mountings on the turret and the hull before painting. Apply a primer before spraying; desert as well as standard camouflage comes to life with a discreet wash and dust pigments on the running gear.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
