Responsibility details are not available.
A terrain base from the Black Dog diorama line tied to the theme of the American M20 armored car. The base gives a finished model a setting and at the same time secures a stable seat for it, which is useful especially with wheeled vehicles of narrow track.
The M20 was an American wheeled armored car derived from the M8 scout car. It lost the rotating turret, received an open fighting compartment and was used mainly for reconnaissance, liaison and carrying people in the forward lines. The six-wheel chassis layout gave it decent mobility on made-up roads and off them alike.
With wheels the rule is that all of them must touch the ground at once. Dry-fit the model and level out any deviation by lightly sanding the ground under the tires. Pressing the tracks lightly into the soft surface of the scene looks more convincing than a vehicle simply set on top.
Keep to the rule that the color of the ground should serve the model, not compete with it. Muted earth tones with a slight lightening in the raised places let the shape of the vehicle stand out; deep green or a strong ocher, on the other hand, pull the attention to themselves.
The vehicle model and the paints needed to finish the scene are not contained in this package.
