A photo-etched set from the Eduard brand for refining a plastic model of the Israeli M-51 Super Sherman medium tank in 1:35 scale. The M-51 was an Israeli modernization of the American Sherman fitted with a powerful French gun. The set is not a tank kit, but an accessory to a model you already own.
The etched brass parts refine the exterior of the vehicle, typically the fenders, cooling grilles, tool clamps and tie-downs, covers and other fine features that injection-molded plastic simplifies. The result is a more faithful and finer surface on the hull and the superstructure.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and shape the bends with a bending tool. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Once they are fitted and the base coat is on, the details come out with washes and pigments, which give the tank a realistic patina of dust and mud.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
