An injection-molded plastic kit of the American main battle tank M1A2 SEP Abrams in the TUSK II version in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The model is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted and captures the characteristic features of the kit for fighting in built-up areas.
The M1 Abrams is an American main battle tank deployed during operations in Iraq among others. The TUSK (Tank Urban Survival Kit) added protection against rocket-propelled grenades and improvised explosive devices in an urban environment. The TUSK II version added tile reactive protection to the turret and the sides of the hull, an armored shield for the commander and a reversing camera, raising its toughness in built-up terrain.
Prepare the running gear and the additional armor before the final assembly. Use thin cement on the plastic, spray the surface with a primer and apply the base desert shade with an airbrush. Create dust and wear with washes and pigments, which will bring out the broken surface of the reactive protection.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
