A resin accessory set, not a complete tank model. It captures the front area of the turret of the Sherman medium tank with the 75 mm gun, fitted with a canvas deep wading cover of the kind used when landing from assault craft. The cover sealed the gaps in the turret against flooding by sea water.
The M4 Sherman was an American medium tank widely deployed by the Allied armies during the Second World War. The version with the short 75 mm gun was the most widespread. For landings, such as the operations in Normandy and the campaign in the Pacific, the tanks were given temporary wading modifications and canvas covers, which were thrown off once ashore.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and lightly sand the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The texture of the canvas comes out well once painted and given light shadow washes; set the metal of the turret apart with a different shade and weathering.
The set serves as an accessory for a plastic model. The model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
