Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Duels in the sky range, which brings two First World War opponents together in one box: the French Nieuport 11 fighter biplane and the German Fokker E.III monoplane. The set in 1:144 scale is made by the Czech manufacturer Valom and contains parts for both models, photo-etched parts and decals for several machines. An ideal subject for a small aviation diorama capturing an air duel.
The Nieuport 11, nicknamed Bebe, was an agile French fighter biplane that helped end the dominance of the German Fokker monoplanes early in the war. The Fokker E.III, by contrast, became famous as one of the first aircraft with a synchronized machine gun. Placing the two machines side by side vividly shows how fighter aviation was transformed during the Great War.
Cut the small parts in this small scale away carefully and check the fit dry before gluing. Paint the fabric in the period shades of both sides and suggest the ribbing with a fine wash. The bracing and rigging of the Nieuport biplane can be suggested with fine thread. The pair of aircraft will look their best on a shared base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
