A detailed set of individual workable track links in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is not a model, but a set of T142 tracks on their own, made for the American M60 and M48 tanks. The individual links assemble into a working track that faithfully reproduces the sag and the behavior of a real track on the running gear.
T142 tracks with rubber pads belonged to the running gear of the American M48 and M60 tanks during the Cold War. Replacing the tracks from the base kit raises the realism, because articulated links can be given a natural sag over the return rollers and the road wheels. The set is meant to be fitted to a compatible M48 or M60 model.
Clean the links of flash, join them into a continuous track as the instructions describe and fit them to the running gear before the vehicle is closed up and painted. For assembly, use a modeling glue suitable for the material. Render the metal surfaces in a steel color and the rubber pads in dark gray; mud and dust effects with pigments give the tracks a worn look.
This is a scale modeling accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
