An accessory set for the M977 in gun truck configuration in 1:35 is an accessory for a finished model of the heavy truck, not the vehicle itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 1:35 accessory set related to the American M977 heavy truck of the HEMTT family in the so-called gun truck configuration. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory for it, meant to turn an ordinary supply truck into an armed machine for convoy protection.
The M977 is an eight-wheeled heavy truck from the HEMTT family, the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck. The US Army introduced it in the 1980s as a vehicle that would carry a large load and still get off hard roads; besides the cargo version the family includes a tanker, a tractor, a wrecker and a load handling system truck. The gun truck designation goes back to convoy practice, when units fitted trucks with improvised armor and mounted weapons right in the field so that a convoy had protection of its own. This way of converting vehicles has roots as far back as Vietnam, but it spread most widely on supply runs in Iraq, where convoys were under constant threat. That is exactly why these vehicles are so varied: no two are the same.
An improvised conversion will take, and indeed calls for, a mismatched look. You can set the armor plates and add-on items apart in shade from the vehicle's original color, as though someone had finished them off in a different paint. It is a good idea to grade the wear: the most rubbing through belongs where the crew climbs in and works the weapon. A wash will pull detail out of the recesses, and dust pigments on the wheels and the lower areas will settle the vehicle into its surroundings. Watch the degree of it: overdone effects across a large area look more like a wreck.
