An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It holds six figures of soldiers of the modern American army, three armored vehicle crewmen and three members of the infantry. The figures come with weapons and accessories, among them a light machine gun, a carbine with an underbarrel grenade launcher, a tactical rifle and pouches, thanks to which the set is easy to place alongside models of tanks and carriers.
The figures capture the look of US Army soldiers around the turn of the millennium: a combat vest with a load-carrying system, a helmet and modern small arms. The armored vehicle crewmen are modeled in poses suited to turrets and hatches, and the infantry in standing and moving stances for escorting vehicles.
Separate the parts from the sprues and fit them together with liquid cement for plastic. Matte acrylic or enamel paints suit the skin and the uniforms, and the detail of the faces comes out once it has been brought up with a dark wash and a fine dry brush. Camouflage patterns are best painted in layers starting from the lightest tone.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
