A set of ships' lines and mooring bollards in 1:35 scale from RT-Diorama - a diorama accessory for harbor edges and quaysides.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale, not a model of a vessel. The set stands for the mooring elements of a harbor edge, that is the bollards on a quayside and the lines with which a vessel is tied to the shore. It is exactly these details that turn a concrete edge into a real harbor where activity can be felt.
A quayside tends to be a large empty area in a diorama, and without equipment it looks like an ordinary wall by the water. Bollards give the edge a rhythm, while lines bring a curve and tension into the scene - the viewer's eye follows them automatically. The set suits landing views of the Second World War, transshipment yards, river harbors and civilian subjects. It also serves well as an accessory for vehicles standing on a quayside or being unloaded.
Place the bollards in a regular rhythm along the edge, because harbor equipment was built to a plan, unlike rural elements. Lines, on the other hand, should never be pulled taut into a straight line - sag and a natural curve are what give a scene its credibility. It is effective to let one line disappear beyond the edge of the base, so that the viewer senses a vessel outside the scene. Try the arrangement out dry beforehand.
