Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 37 is a set of plastic figures of German combat engineers of the 1st Panzer Division in 1:35 scale from Dragon.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four injection-molded plastic figures of German assault engineers in 1:35 scale from Dragon. It depicts members of Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 37 of the 1st Panzer Division, and the scene is set near Leningrad in the fall of 1941.
In the panzer divisions the engineer battalions handled the crossing of obstacles, mine clearing and assault tasks. Three of the figures wear the standard field gray uniform, the fourth the black panzer crew uniform introduced in 1940. Several of them carry the assault engineer pack (Pioniersturmgepäck) from the early part of 1941. The set contains various weapons and equipment to bring the scene to life. The treatment is matter-of-fact and historically grounded.
Separate the parts from the sprues, clean up the seams and glue them with a plastic cement. Build the skin up in layers, and on the uniforms use a base coat plus a wash in the folds and a dry brush. Lighten the black panzer uniform with gray so that it does not go dead black. Finish with a matte varnish.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
