1:35 Printed Accessories: Iraqi Newspapers

Iraqi newspapers for dioramas in 1:35 scale

The accessory 1:35 Printed Accessories: Iraqi Newspapers belongs to the range of printed diorama accessories from RT-Diorama. It is not a model of equipment and not figures but small printed subjects of newspapers reduced to 1:35 scale. They are used anywhere a scene is meant to come across as lived in: on a small table, on a stall, in the hand of a figure or scattered about on the ground.

What the accessory is suited to

Small things of this type decide whether a diorama looks like a moment stopped or like a display base with equipment on it. Newspapers also carry information about the place of the action and go well with scenes from an Iraqi city setting and from modern conflicts. They come into their own in interiors, at a market, in the cabs of vehicles and as the filling of crates and baggage.

Usage tips

• Separate the subjects with a sharp blade; scissors easily crumple a small format.
• A folded sheet comes across more naturally than a flat patch.
• Bend newspapers laid loose on the ground slightly to follow the terrain.
• Light dirtying and yellowing of the edges match ordinary wear.
• Several pieces near one another will create the impression of a stall or a bundle put down.

Who the accessory is for

• Builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers who finish scenes from modern conflicts.
• Those who build interiors, markets and street scenes.
• Anyone looking for small details to liven a scene up.
