Responsibility details are not available.
A set of individual metal track links in white metal (a tin alloy) for a model of the French Renault FT-17 light tank in 1:35 scale. The links are joined with the supplied wire into a fully workable track, which replaces the plastic or rubber tracks from the base kit. Metal tracks give the model real weight, crisp definition and a natural sag.
The Renault FT-17 was a French light tank of the end of the First World War and is considered one of the first tanks with a rotating turret carrying the main armament. Thanks to its simple form and the numbers in which it was built it spread widely and was used in the interwar period and at the beginning of the Second World War as well.
First clean the links of casting marks with a file, assemble them one behind another and connect them with the supplied wire, which forms the pins. A file, pliers for cutting the wire and a pin vise with a drill of the wire's diameter are all you need for the assembly. Treat the metal surface with a primer suitable for metal before painting, then apply the paints with an airbrush and bring the tracks out with a wash and pigments for the effect of mud and dust.
This is not a model of a tank but a metal accessory for an existing kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
