Friulmodel 1:35 SAM-6 KUB/BUK/TOR ZSU-23 Shilka is a set of white metal tracks for the Soviet tracked chassis of air defense systems.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of white metal tracks in 1:35 scale from Friulmodel. It is not a model but a detail accessory: the individual metal links are joined with the supplied wire pins into a fully workable run. The metal construction gives the running gear a convincing weight and a natural sag that neither plastic nor rubber kit tracks can offer.
The tracks match the tracked chassis of Soviet air defense equipment on which the SAM-6 (Kub), Buk and Tor systems and the ZSU-23 Shilka anti-aircraft gun were carried. The set replaces the tracks supplied in the corresponding plastic kits of these vehicles.
Clean the moldings off the links, assemble them by threading them onto the supplied wire and trim off the excess. White metal holds paint better after a base coat suitable for metal is sprayed on. A darker wash in the recesses and dust or rust pigments stand out well; suggest the polished metal areas with graphite or a metallic pigment.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
