A resin detail set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It represents improvised sandbag armor for the British version of the M10 Achilles tank destroyer. It is an accessory to be fitted to the base kit of that vehicle, not a model. The exact contents of the package are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. The castings are shaped for the Academy and Italeri kits.
The Achilles was a British modification of the American M10 tank destroyer, rearmed with the powerful 17-pounder anti-tank gun that could destroy even heavy German tanks. Crews often strengthened the open hull and turret on their own account, with sandbags as added protection against anti-tank rockets.
Wash the parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection; glue them with super glue. Put a primer on and paint with an airbrush. A dry brush, dust pigments and earthy washes will bring the texture of the bags out.
This is a resin accessory, not a model of the vehicle in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
