This set brings a colored 3D decal of the interior of the German Schwimmwagen Type 166 amphibious vehicle in 1:35 scale. The detail is printed on a backing decal paper, it has real three-dimensional depth and faithful colors, so that once fitted the instrument panel, the controls and the upholstery look far more three-dimensional than a flat decal. The package also contains additional 3D-printed resin parts for an even higher level of detail.
Applying it does not call for painting, but it goes on wet: the part is cut out, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a gloss clear coat (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22); on complex shapes a drop of super glue helps, and the same glue is used for the small resin parts. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemicals attack the printed resin.
The set is intended for modelers who want to detail the cab of this amphibious vehicle quickly and strikingly. The set does not include the target kit; these are stand-alone add-on decals for models of the Schwimmwagen Type 166.
