A resin set of precisely cast drive sprockets for models of the light half-track tractor Sd.Kfz 10 and the light half-track carrier Sd.Kfz 250 in 1:35 scale. The Gelände form matches one of the off-road patterns of the period tracks. It replaces the plastic parts with crisper castings with faithful teeth and hub. This is an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers.
Both the Sd.Kfz 10 and the Sd.Kfz 250 are half-track vehicles: at the front they have steered wheels on tires, at the rear a tracked running gear driven by a drive sprocket. The sprocket is steel, so flattening under load does not apply to it as it does to tires – the shape stays firm and circular. The various sprocket patterns were paired with the matching type of track.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin castings with warm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and clean the surfaces up; sand with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Finish and paint the tracked running gear before the hull is closed, and at the end add washes and pigments for dust and mud.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the target kit are not included in the package.
