An alternative tread design sets this set of four wheels with a flat tire for the Sd.Kfz. 234 in 1:35 scale apart from the rendition with the first pattern. An accessory by Pimp My Miniatures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second variant of the four-piece package of wheels with a settled tire, intended for the German heavy eight-wheeler Sd.Kfz. 234. What separates it from its sister item is the tread design listed as the second type. The choice between patterns has a practical point for a modeler who is building a vehicle from a particular photograph, or for one who wants to build two machines in one scene and does not want them to look like copies.
Production of these vehicles ran from 1943 right into the last months of the war and never reached large numbers. The machines were distributed among the individual companies of the reconnaissance detachments, and when the fighting ended only a few hundred were left scattered across Europe. Most ended up abandoned for want of fuel or after a small breakdown that there was no longer anyone to repair. It is precisely such scenes, with equipment standing crooked with deflated rubber and open hatches, that are among the strongest subjects a builder of armored equipment can treat.
The difference between the patterns is harder to tell once they are painted, so sort the parts out as soon as you unpack them. Paint the settled rubber first, while it can still be turned in the fingers. Rub pigment matching the ground in the scene into the grooves of the tread and fit the finished wheel only at the very end.
The vehicle, the base and paints are not part of the delivery.
