Replacement front wheels for the Sd.Kfz. 250 and Sd.Kfz. 10 light half-track vehicles in 1:35, with a common off-road tread carried under the Continental marking.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 is a light armored half-track carrier, the Sd.Kfz. 10 a light half-track tractor built on a related chassis. At the rear they have the tracked running gear, at the front an unpowered axle with wheels for steering the vehicle. The smaller dimensions of these vehicles mean that the front wheels make up a relatively larger part of the silhouette than on heavier types, and that is why they matter.
The set carries the common off-road tread marked Continental. This tread is the most usual choice on light half-tracks, so it suits as a starting variant if you do not know the subject in detail and want to stay on the safe side. The coarser design of the tread also stays legible even under a layer of dust and mud, which matters on a vehicle from a scene in the field.
Separate the wheel with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder of the excess material down. Wash and degrease them before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on a greasy surface. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and the manufacturer's instructions. Seat both wheels vertical and with the same angle and check that the model sits down on all its bearing points. Paint the tire dark gray, not black, run a dry brush over the edges of the tread blocks and work the bottom of the wheel into the same shade of dust as the base has.
What is supplied is an add-on set of front wheels. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
