Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light Sd.Kfz.250/1 half-track armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale from Takom. The kit captures the older angular hull (alte Aufbau) of early production and contains individual workable track links, workable suspension, etched and clear parts, a driver figure and several versions of tarpaulins. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Sd.Kfz.250 was a light half-track armored personnel carrier built on a chassis derived from the Sd.Kfz.10 tractor. The basic 250/1 variant served as a reconnaissance and transport vehicle for small crews and was deployed on every front. The early form had a more intricately faceted (angular) hull, later simplified; this kit corresponds to the older type of hull.
Finish and paint the running gear and the interior of the hull before closing the superstructure, as they are harder to reach afterwards. Assemble the individual track links patiently, glue the etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with liquid cement into the joints. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush in thin coats; a gray base (Panzergrau) suits an early vehicle. Bring the surface to life with a wash and pigments for dust and mud effects on the tracks and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
