Eduard 1:48 P-40E engine PRINT is a 3D-printed resin engine set for faithful super-detailing of a model of the P-40E Warhawk fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket detail set from Eduard, not a standalone aircraft model. The set is made by modern direct 3D printing in resin and brings a finely rendered engine for the P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale, including the engine cowlings. It makes it possible to open up a view of the powerplant and to raise a model far above the level of the basic box contents.
The Curtiss P-40E Warhawk was an American fighter of the Second World War powered by the liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 V12. The machine became famous above all in the colors of the Flying Tigers and in service in the Pacific and the North African theaters. A faithful rendering of the engine and its cowlings is one of the most effective ways of bringing a P-40E model to life.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports, wash the residue off them and degrease them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection when sanding and cutting resin. The engine comes into its own once painted in metallic shades, with a wash and with fine weathering that brings out the castings and the pipework.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
