1:35 Set of scale models

About the item

A set of model accessories for a diorama in 1:35 scale. The contents of the package are not stated here. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for military equipment and figures, so the parts correspond in size to the usual scenes with ground equipment.

Where the set fits

Accessories are what tells a model standing on a base from a scene a viewer believes. Equipment placed about will fill the empty places between the vehicles and the figures, suggest what is going on in the scene and help the eye judge the size of the whole. It pays to set them out irregularly and to leave free space between them; regular spacing gives away that it is a set.

Building and painting tips

• Check the way of gluing and preparing the parts in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder.
• Wash and degrease the parts before painting; paint does not hold on a greasy surface.
• Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy application floods the edges of small parts.
• At the end unify the parts with their surroundings with a light deposit of dust, so that they do not look new in the scene.

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas in 1:35 scale who are after equipment for a scene and do not want to make it themselves. Paints, glue, a base and models of equipment are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
