An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet experimental SMK heavy tank in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Takom. The package contains plastic parts to be glued and painted.
The SMK was a Soviet heavy tank prototype of the late 1930s with a distinctive multi-turreted layout. It was built as one of the attempts at a breakthrough tank for cracking fortified lines, and it was tried in combat during the Winter War with Finland, where the limits of the complicated multi-turreted design became apparent. It never entered series production.
Assemble the running gear and the lower part of the hull first, and only then close up the superstructure. Use thin cement for plastic, sand the joints down and apply primer. Airbrush painting suits the subject, followed by washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
