This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt captures the Soviet T-54A medium tank in 1:35 scale. It is a richly broken-up model with a full interior, that is including the fighting and driver's compartments and the powerplant. The box holds a large number of plastic parts, photo-etched sheet and clear parts. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The T-54A was a modernized version of the postwar Soviet T-54 medium tank, which became one of the most widespread tanks in history. The A version brought a 100 mm gun with stabilization in elevation and a bore evacuator, a more powerful engine and further changes. The T-54 and its derivatives served in dozens of armies around the world and were used in a number of conflicts in the second half of the 20th century.
Because of the full interior it is best to finish and paint the inner compartments and the running gear before you close up the hull. Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and the photo-etched sheet with super glue. Spray the base coat with an airbrush and use washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the weathering. The model is on the demanding side, so expect more work.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
