Eduard 1:35 M-7 deep water fording eq. is a photo-etched set for building the deep wading kit of the M-7 self-propelled gun. It is not a model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains brass photo-etched parts for assembling the deep wading equipment of the M-7 Priest self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale. It is not a standalone model but an accessory for a plastic kit of that vehicle. The wading kit comprised trunks and covers that let the vehicle drive through deeper water during a landing without flooding the power pack.
The M-7 Priest was an American self-propelled gun of the Second World War period that carried a 105 mm howitzer on a chassis derived from the M3 and later the M4 medium tank. It provided fire support for infantry and armored units. The wading equipment was fitted above all for amphibious landings, when the vehicles drove out of landing craft into the shallows.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and bend them with a photo-etch bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue. The cylindrical trunks of the wading kit call for careful rolling and for gluing the edges together; it helps to form them around a rod of a suitable diameter. Degrease the brass and apply primer before painting.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
