Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:35 scale with the markings of the Tiger I heavy tank with the code S21, Russia, October 1943. It is not a kit but an accessory with which you finish a model built and painted separately.
A decal needs a smooth, glossy area. Spray clear gloss varnish onto the spot and let it cure properly; only then trim the design as close to the printing as possible. The less carrier film is left around the printing, the less its edge will show once dry. With older sheets it pays to spray the whole sheet with a thin coat of clear varnish before trimming: it binds the brittle film and prevents the decal from falling apart in the water.
Dip the trimmed design in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest on a paper towel. As soon as it slides freely on the backing paper, slide it onto the moistened spot, adjust the position with a soft brush and blot the water away from the center toward the edges. An intricate surface is a job for two-part softeners: the setting solution on the base, the softener on the laid decal. The film will wrinkle temporarily; leave it alone, as once dry it draws itself into the engraving and around the rivets.
Decals age, so keep them dry, dark and flat, so that the sheet does not curl. Seal the finished markings with gloss varnish and unify the surface with a matte or semi-matte varnish. Patina, dust and chipping come last.
The package contains decals. The kit, paints, varnishes and softeners are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
