Two American Rangers on reconnaissance in 1:35 scale form the second part of the Normandy figure series from the manufacturer Mirage Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of a figure pairing in which Mirage Hobby has worked the American Rangers from the fighting in Normandy. While the first set captures the crew of an antitank weapon, this one concentrates on reconnaissance: the two soldiers advance carefully, watch the surroundings and carry only the most necessary things. The set is an accessory for a scene, not a kit in its own right. The material is printed resin, thanks to which the edges of the equipment and the folds of the fabric stay sharp.
Reconnaissance belonged among the typical tasks of the Rangers. Small groups moved ahead of the main forces, found out the placing of obstacles and reported where a way through lay. They were equipped lightly, with an emphasis on mobility and quiet advance, and it is precisely this role that distinguishes their appearance from classic infantry. Combining both sets from this series creates a scene that shows two different sides of the same unit.
Wash the parts before gluing, so that no remains from production stay on the surface, and glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. With a reconnaissance pair the main role is played by the turn of the heads and the hands, so seat the figures dry first and check whether the two of them communicate with each other visually. Paint the uniforms in muted tones, with a dusty tinge at the legs and the boots, so that it is apparent that the soldiers are on the move. Distinguish the weapons with matte steel and dark wood.
The set includes figures with armament. The terrain, the base and the paints are not in the package.
