A pair of resin AGM-88 HARM missiles in 1:72 scale. The American anti-radiation missile as a store under a model of a combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AGM-88 HARM is an American anti-radiation missile. Its seeker finds a transmitting radar by itself and homes on the source of its signal, so it serves to destroy ground air defense systems. You can recognize it by its slender body with a long nose, four small forward surfaces and four larger tail fins. It flew under the wings of a whole range of machines, from American fighter and attack aircraft to European specials intended for suppressing air defenses.
The package contains two missiles in 1:72 scale, as the name states. The parts are resin, that is not polystyrene.
Cut the excess material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand off the remainder with fine abrasive, so that the shape of the body of the missile is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Use cyanoacrylate glue for bonding, as liquid cement for polystyrene does not hold here. Fit the missiles to the stores station only once the paint has dried, and make sure that both hang at the same height and at the same angle; an asymmetrical store is more visible on a finished model than a small blemish on the surface. The tail surfaces are thin and break off easily, so protect them from being touched until the model is standing.
The set suits builders of modern combat aircraft who want to complete a model with more faithful stores than the kit offers. The model, the pylons, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
