The eleventh volume of the figure series of American infantry from the brand Bravo 6, cast in resin in 1:35 scale. The package holds two figures. It is not a kit of equipment but a figure set intended for a diorama or for presentation next to a finished model. As with every resin set, it is a product rather for experienced modelers.
The composition captures a pair of infantrymen in action - the name of the series refers to the call by which a thrown grenade is announced in the American infantry. The stances of both figures are designed so that they communicate with each other in a scene and can be set side by side into a single situation. The uniform and the carried kit match the period of the war in Vietnam: a field blouse, a load-bearing system with straps, pouches and a helmet. The modeling of the folds and of the small details of the kit is fine, and the casting blocks are placed so that they do not reach into the visible surfaces.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, not by breaking them away. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate super glue and reinforce them with a wire pin at the thin places. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. After applying a primer the figures take acrylics well, and oil paints or a fine wash then serve well for the shadows and the transitions on the uniform. With a two-figure composition, first stand both figures on the base dry and only then glue them together for good.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
